The Naumann Short-Form (3 hole) Model offers ease of key changes because there is only one main crook to change in order to play in a different key. The general arm and hand placement is also very close to the same position as holding a modern Bb trumpet.  This offers a very familiar and comfortable playing position.  The hole placement on all of the crooks is much closer together. A player with smaller hands or someone who is uncomfortable playing the four-hole system will find this model much easier to hold and play.
